My husband and I were recently talking about this freedom and how it is often misunderstood even by Christians. Praise God for our freedom from the slavery of sin.

"Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?" (Jeremiah 2:5)

When I am empty (vain) it is usually because I have been walking after emptiness (vanity). Jesus was always spiritually full, because He never walked after vanity. "But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work." (John 4:32-34)

"Is your life so full that there is no place to squeeze His Word in?"

We probably wouldn't agree with much of Jung's theology, but he once said, " Hurry is not OF the devil. Hurry IS the devil."

Well, talk about a post that is full of TRUTH! I have found in my own life that I have to schedule time for His Word. There may be times that I can get into it that are not scheduled, but more often than not, if I don't set the time aside for it, the TRUTH gets squeezed out by the other good things I am doing. But, good becomes evil when it squeezes out what is best.

My husband and I have been talking to our son about the lies he believes that cause him to sin. I don't know why, but this post reminded me of that. I told him that every sin I commit is because I believe the lie that I am alone and therefore, lonely. This is something I have to constantly combat with the TRUTH. Our son said he usually does things because he feels empty and he is trying to fill up the empty space. I think we have similar lies because we both suffered the pain of abandonment by our birth parents. I am praying about how to enable him to fill it up with the TRUTH. He is on a very destructive course.

Sorry for rambling, but I really enjoyed this post today.
